About Lianne

Lianne Ong is a Singaporean children’s author.  To date, she has published 16 children’s picture books, four of which have won prizes. She is best known for her Stacey & the Museums series, a 5-title series about museums in Singapore, and A Place for Us,  a 6-title picture book series about persons with disabilities.

Her latest title, Sing A Song of Hawker Food: Humpty Dumpty and Friends Have a Singapore Hawker Feast, co-written with Janice Khoo, is a book where familiar nursery rhyme characters explore Singapore hawker food and culture.

 

Lianne frequently conducts storytelling sessions and author visits at schools, museums and libraries. Her background is in International Relations and Southeast Asian Studies. She resides in Singapore with her family.
