Finally! I can share about my new series. It's been half a year since I wrote here, and I actually forgot my password to this blog!

A Place for Us is a collaboration with Movement for the Intellectually Disabled (MINDS). It's one of those projects that I knew just had to be done. We don't have any special needs themed children's series written by Singapor...

In my newest book, Singapore Hawker Food, published under the Timmy & Tammy Discover series, I talk a bit about young hawkers. It has been noted that the median age of hawkers today in Singapore is 59, and this is a worrying trend because if more young hawkers do not join the trade today, we may not have a viable and sustainable hawker food culture to spe...

Took a break from writing children's fiction and wrote this title, Singapore Hawker Food, under the popular Timmy & Tammy series, which my former editor Ruth Wan-Lau created. Hwee Goh conceptualised and penned the non-fiction titles under Timmy & Tammy Discover, and I am very glad to have been given this opportunity to continue their good work.

In the last few weeks, I had the opportunity to catch up with my former editor, a fellow author whose had her third book published, and to a newly published children's author. They were all great conversations. It made me take stock of where I was with my writing.

New author was sharing about some recent hurdles and frustrations. It made me remember some...

Authors don't often get a chance to revisit old titles... and woe to any author who starts spotting sentences you wished you had phrased differently, or thinking about story endings you wished you had taken.

When Armour Publishing invited me to revise Stacey Goes to the National Museum, I leapt at the chance to update the story. The PLAY@NMS area at the Na...

Aside from Stacey postcards, this is the first merchandising product I've embarked on. How do you like the Stacey doll and keychain? I absolutely love the details that have been captured. These are not on sale anywhere else. If you want one, write to me and I'll let you know how much it costs. I don't have many left! Here's a closer look!

 And here's Stace...

For some reason, I've had a record number of school invitations in the second half of this year and we're not even through yet! I'm glad because I've been so swamped with other work that I haven't been writing much this year. It's nice to keep in touch with my readers. Questions from the kids never fail to amaze me. The best one I've received in recent ti...

I took a break earlier this year from school visits and other kinds of appearances in order to work on some other projects. Yesterday, I visited Little Skool House at Tampines Junction, and I was reminded how much I enjoy these visits! The school was having a Book Week, with a special focus on local authors. As I entered the school, characters from local...

So happy to share that two titles, Stacey Goes to the Indian Heritage Centre and Stacey Goes to the Peranakan Museum, have been translated and published by local Tamil publisher, eduguide.sg (an imprint of Crimson Earth). This was done with the support of the National Arts Council.

This is the first time my books have been translated! :)

The book features four paintings by Singaporean artists. The painting that...
