One can never tell when inspiration will hit. During the Tokyo Olympics, Mr Tan Chuan Jin, Singapore's Speaker of Parliament and also the President of the Singapore National Olympic Council visited our Olympians. He also brought along Parliament House's adorable mascot, Parley. My co-author Janice Khoo and I followed his Parley updates on Instagram and were amused by the "travelling gnome" style memes of Parley.
We wondered what Parley would do once he was back home. And so, we wrote this short story and published it on our Instagram accounts on 16 August - the first day Parley and Mr Tan returned to work after SHN - you'll see why in a moment! If you missed it, have a read! We hope you enjoy it!
