Saying goodbye is never easy

It's been ages since I blogged here, but this was weighing on my mind. Yesterday, I was told a sad story. A little girl was given a copy of Maxilla some time ago. Apparently, it had become her favourite book. She reads it over and over again. But the reason for this was so sad, I was floored.

Apparently, she had been looking forward to a new addition to the family. A baby brother, whom she saw whenever her Mum had scans. But after a smooth pregnancy, the baby did not survive and was delivered prematurely, a stillborn. That must be terribly difficult for a young child to comprehend and process.

Goodbye, Maxilla.

I hope Maxilla brings her hope and comfort.
